使用局部纹线距离进行指纹分类

摘要: 为了提高指纹识别的速度和准确率,特别是在指纹数据库不断增大的情况下,指纹分类显得尤为重要。提出了一种使用局部纹线距离进行指纹分类的方法。该方法首先以指纹的参考点为中心提取一个区域,然后计算该区域的局部纹线距离,最后按照局部纹线距离对指纹库中的指纹进行分类。在FVC2006指纹库上对该方法进行了实验,系统穿透系数为0.106 3,有效地提高了指纹的检索速度。

Abstract: In order to improve the speed and accuracy of fingerprint recognition, especially in the fingerprint database, the scale of which is increasing, fingerprint classification is very important. This paper presents a classification method by using local ridge distance. It firstly extracts a region centered at the reference point. Secondly, it computes the local ridge distance of this region. Finally, it classifies fingerprints according to their local ridge distance. The method is experimented on FVC2006 database and the system penetration coefficient of this method is 0.1063. It efficiently speeds up the retrieving of the fingerprint database.
