摘要: 现有路由器因其存储容量无法满足命名数据网络(named data networking,NDN)对缓存容量的需求,导致了NDN部署困难。提出了一种软件扩展路由器缓存容量的方法——LDFS(lightweight distributed file system)。LDFS的主要思想是将边缘网络的终端用户和存储服务器作为存储节点,虚拟缓存服务器统一管理存储节点并向客户端提供缓存服务,客户端以库函数的形式向上层应用提供接口。LDFS的主要特点是轻量级客户端和多种存储资源提供存储服务。最后通过实验对系统的性能进行了测量,并验证了轻量级客户端设计的优势。

Abstract: The storage capacity of existing router cannot meet the demand for NDN (named data networking) cache capacity, resulting in difficulty to deploy NDN. This paper presents a router cache capacity expansion method via software manner—LDFS (lightweight distributed file system). The main idea of LDFS is that using edge network end users and storage servers as storage nodes, virtual cache server manages storage nodes and provides caching services to clients uniformly, clients provide an interface to the upper layer applications via a library function. The main features of LDFS are lightweight clients and a variety of storage resources providing storage services. Finally, the experiments are carried out to measure the performance of the system and verify the client lightweight design advantages.
