共享式Web应用服务器集群的资源整合方法研究

摘要: PaaS(platform as a service)平台是一种重要的云计算服务类型,但传统的Web应用服务器集群管理方式无法为PaaS平台多承租和动态资源管理提供有效支持。针对上述问题,提出了一种基于进程隔离的共享式集群拓扑结构,支持多个Web应用服务器集群共享相同的物理服务器环境。同时给出了针对此共享集群的服务器整合方法,以满足租户应用的性能需求和提高服务器的有效资源使用率。实验证明,平台能够根据当前共享集群的状态选择适当数量的服务器,服务器整合方法有效可行。

Abstract: As the existing management of Web application server cluster does not support multi-tenancy and dynamic resource provisioning, it is not appropriate for PaaS (platform as a service) which is an important service of cloud computing. To solve these problems, this paper presents a shared cluster topology based on process isolation to support multi-tenant to share the same physical environment. It further proposes a server consolidation method for this shared cluster to meet the performance needs of the tenant applications and improve the effective resource utilization of the servers. Experiment shows that the platform is able to select appropriate number of servers according to the current state of shared cluster and the server consolidation method is feasible and effective.
