Energy Efficient Device Detection Model in Mobile Group Awareness

Abstract: There is a trade-off relationship between the number of effective detections and the energy efficiency of mobile devices in the mobile group awareness network, in view of the characteristics of mobile devices in mobile group awareness, this paper presents a model of energy efficient device detection in mobile group awareness. Firstly, the detection process based on the Poisson distribution model is modeled to get the ineffective detection probability of mobile devices. Through the experiments to verify the model, the results show that the model is correct and reasonable.Then the relations of the total number of valid detections and probe interval are achieved. Finally,based on the model analysis, the equilibrium points of energy consumption and detection effectiveness in different situations are obtained, the mobile device owners can set the detection interval T according to their environment, so as to save the energy of mobile devices.

摘要: 在移动群体感知网络中移动设备的能量使用效率和有效探测总数间存在一种均衡关系,针对移动群体感知中移动设备发生接触的特点,提出了一种移动群体感知中能量有效的设备探测模型。该模型对基于泊松分布模型探测过程进行建模,得到移动设备的无效探测概率,并通过实验进行验证,结果表明该模型是正确合理的;然后得出有效探测总数与探测时间间隔的关系;最后基于模型分析得到不同情况下能量消耗与探测有效性的均衡点,进而使移动设备持有者根据自己所处环境设置探测时间间隔T,从而实现移动设备能量的节约。
