Journal Introduction

•   The Journal of Frontiers of Computer Science and Technology (FCST), Jisuanji Kexue yu Tansuo (in Chinese Pinyin), is an academic journal focusing on computer science and technology. It is sponsored by North China Institute of Computing Technology under the China Electronics Technology Group Corporation. It is the Journal of China Computer Federation (CCF). It is approved as the Baiqiang Sci-Tech Journal in China, Core Journal of China, Key Magazine of China Technology and Core Journal of Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), and is indexed by many important national and international indexing systems, such as Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations Database (CSTPCD), China Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database (CAJCED), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data, Scopus Database, Information Service in Physics, Electro-Technology, Computer and Control (INSPEC), Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA), Ulrich's Periodicals Directory (UPD), Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), Index Copernicus (IC), EBSCO Research Database and Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and is selected into the "High-Quality Journals Exhibition of Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China". The journal was launched in 2007 and originally published bimonthly until 2010 when it began publishing monthly.
  
    The FCST aims to foster communication among scholars and researchers by publishing their high quality and innovative research results in all respects of computer science and technology.

     The contents of FCST are as follows:
       Computer theory and algorithm
       Artificial intelligence and pattern recognition
       Computer architecture and high performance computing
       Computer graphics, image processing and virtual reality
       Computer network
       Database and knowledge-based systems
       Information security
       Parallel processing and distributed computing
       Quantum information and computation

     The articles accepted are from China and overseas. Each submission goes through a strict peer review process, and is reviewed by three or more experts in their fields, in order to ensure the merits of the submissions in terms of quality, relevance, originality and contribution to the field. Among the accepted articles, 97% are supported by the key national projects of China, such as the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Basic Research Program and the National Key Research and Development Program, or international joint research grants.

     The Editorial Board of FCST consists of leading computer scientists from China, USA, UK and Canada, including 2 IEEE Fellows and 30 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering. The journal is jointly published by Science Press and Journal of Computer Engineering and Applications Beijing Co., Ltd..

     All articles of the Journal are of highest-quality. The submitted manuscripts can be written in Chinese. However, the abstracts, tables, figures, keywords and references must be provided in English and conform to the standard format.

     The FCST pursues high-level, excellent service, and fast publication. The special services include: the final decision will be given within two months, the accepted papers will be published online on China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Wanfang Data within one month. In order to facilitate the spread of articles, the FCST is committed to real and immediate open access for academic works, all articles are free to access and download from the date of publication.
  
     Open Access Policy
     This Journal is an open access journal supported by article processing charges (APCs). The journal allows any non-commercial users to read, download, copy, transfer, print, retrieve, hyperlink, and index the literature in the journal. The source of references should be indicated when citing the contents of this journal. Each article can be loaded individually in PDF-format free of charge immediately after their initial publication and also the full text of each issue is available for anyone interested in the journal.
