INVF: Information Network Oriented Visualization Framework and Algorithm

Abstract: There are some typical kinds of information networks in reality, such as social network, co-author network, Internet of things. Generally, information networks are huge-sized, complicated in structure, therefore, it is difficult for decision-makers to get the whole picture of information networks. So it is necessary to visualize the information networks for the decision-makers to build good understanding. This paper proposes a component-based framework of information networks visualization, called the information networks visualization framework (INVF). Firstly, this paper gives a formalized description of INVF. Secondly, it demonstrates the instantiation INVF via inserting component instance according to actual needs. Thirdly, it realizes INVF. The experimental results verify the effectiveness and efficiency of INVF.

摘要: 现实世界中的社会网络、合作者网络、物联网络等均可抽象为信息网络。信息网络因规模大、结构复杂等特点,使得决策者通常不能以直接的方式理解整个网络,因而需要对信息网络可视化以帮助理解。提出了组件式信息网络可视化框架(information networks visualization framework,INVF);给出了INVF的完整框架描述;提出并设计了INVF组件,可根据实际需要插入实例组件实例化INVF;介绍了INVF的实现方法,并且通过实验表明了INVF的有效性与计算性能。
